Are We Moving, or are we moving with Compassion?

John’s disciples came and took his body and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus. When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick. (Mat. 14: 12- 14 -NIV)

It is my belief that Jesus had just as many concerns and heartaches as we have today. In the above verse When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. (Mat. 14: 13-NIV) . I can only imagine that Jesus heart must have been broken. Yet, when the crowds followed Him, Jesus had compassion and was moved to heal their sick. I know there are and always will be times when we desire to go to a place of solitude, but, we too must be moved with compassion for others as they come into our space and require us to listen, pray, give a word of encouragement or hope to help them get through their trial. Sometimes it is hard to give a word of comfort when we are hurting ourselves, however, what we give out will be reciprocated back to us. When we are in pain from this life’s trials and tribulations, ultimately, that is the perfect time to heal another soul. Let’s remember that compassion moves us to do something for someone else, therefore it plays a big role in our everyday life, we should do our best to live by the example that Christ left for us. Until next time, make it a Blessed” Week”
